Mental Health Tech company Resilience Lab Joins Humana In-Network

Fremont, CA: Resilience Lab, a mental health-tech company enabling communities of clinicians to improve outcomes and access, has joined Humana as an in-network mental healthcare provider. Resilience Lab is expanding its reach and affordable access to team-based, tech-forward behavioral care by being in-network with two of the nation's five largest health insurance carriers, covering 19 percent of the US health insurance market. In addition, the company intends to expand into nine northeastern states by 2022

In the midst of a mental health crisis, practitioners in the United States are grappling with the dilemma of turning away those in need. According to NAMI, nearly 30 million people in the US do not receive treatment for mental health conditions, and those who do seek treatment face obstacles as a result of a fragmented and costly system. Currently, the current number of actively licensed therapists in the United States can support no more than 18 million patients per year. To truly address the country's diverse mental health care needs, it is estimated that more than ten times the current supply of therapists is required.

"We look forward to working with Humana to advance our mission of improving the mental and behavioral health resources available to their members," remarked Marc Goldberg, co-founder & CEO, Resilience Lab.

By blending technology with ongoing peer support, Resilience Lab is poised to attract and retain mental health practitioners looking to build sustainable clinical practices and expand access for underserved populations. With just two years of operating experience, we've already conducted 60,000 therapy sessions, joined two of the country's largest health plans, and commenced our national expansion strategy, starting in the northeast."

Resilience Lab combines diverse team-based care with full-stack technology to increase therapist-client trust, reduce costs, and provide personalized care at scale. Its intelligent matching algorithm and dedicated clinical team enable clients to find and choose the therapist who feels right for them based on logistics, identity, and care specialties. Custom treatment plans are founded on whole-person, evidence-based modalities, and outcomes are quantifiable and qualitatively assessed.

Therapists who join Resilience Lab are provided with clinical supervision, training, pathways to advanced certification, and peer support as they develop clinical practices in a safe environment. Therapists can benefit from a variety of advancement opportunities, including salaried Resilience Lab positions, as well as insurance remediation, automated billing, EMR management, and related infrastructure solutions, allowing them to focus solely on their craft.
