Sedgwick Completes Acquisition Of Orchid Medical

A combined auxiliary care network expands options across the United States.

Fremont, CA: A multinational company of technology-enabled risk, benefits, and integrated business solutions, Sedgwick acquired Orchid Medical, a statewide provider of workers' compensation auxiliary medical management solutions.

One such acquisition plays a significant part in the continued expansion of Sedgwick's ancillary care network, which helps the employees of the company's workers' compensation clients receive prompt, high-value service for DME, transportation, translation, home health, diagnostic imaging, and other aspects of care on the road to recovery.

Orchid Medical, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, now offers a wide range of ancillary services, including surgical implant cost containment, DME and supplies, prosthetics and orthotics, home health, complex care, home and vehicle modifications, diagnostic imaging, physical medicine, transportation, and language services.
